The estate was founded in 1965, when grandparents Giovanni and Elide purchased the first plots of land with ruins near Acone; the logo featuring the horse head comes from a family necklace from the 1950s. Today the business is managed by Gabrio, third generation, who has brought his passion for cooking to the property. The apartments are named Loggiato, Orciaia and Fienile: one features a dishwasher, oven and a large dining room, designed for those who book the entire structure. From the hilltop, views sweep down across the Chianti Rufina valley. The farm shop stocks oil, homemade pasta, preserves and eggs from the estate, which La Taverna brings to your table twice a week with themed Tuscan dinners.
