Owned for more than a century by the Montalcini family, the ancient residence of Fonte Sala is located in a sunny position open to the vast Umbrian panorama and is surrounded by its own land, cultivated with olive groves and Sagrantino di Montefalco vineyards, following the famous local wine-making tradition. The square tower is built on ancient structures dating back to the Longobard period, as evidenced by the remains of masonry incorporated in the foundations that are still visible. The country residence has recently been restored maintaining its original structure. It is divided into three large flats - Torre, Zefiro, Bacco - furnished with family antiques, and two smaller ones - Ginestra and Lavanda. Each residence has the possibility of accommodating an additional bed. From Fonte Sala it is possible to make excursions to the most renowned art cities of central Italy (Assisi, Perugia, Spoleto, Todi) as well as quality wine and food routes and wonderful walks in the hills.
