“ Peaceful beautiful countryside, warm hospitality, a great opportunity to get to know Umbria, its people and its traditions...... this is what we aim to offer our guests! “ Cerqua Rosara Residence is situated near the village of Valtopina in the province of Perugia, between the Colfiorito and Monte Subasio nature reserves, in an area of outstanding natural beauty rich in flora and fauna. The area is ideal for walking, mountain-biking and horse riding. From Valtopina guests are in an ideal position to explore Umbria, a region rich in history, art and culture: Assisi, Foligno, Spello, Bevagna, Montefalco, Spoleto, Gubbio and Perugia are all within easy reach (between 15 and 45 minutes by car). The whole building has been constructed and finished to a very high standard. We have aimed to retain the style of the cottage which previously occupied the site and wherever possible materials recovered from this cottage (eg sandstone, handmade bricks and tiles, oak timbers) have been used. We have taken every opportunity to be energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. The main building comprises four apartments, each with private entrance and exclusive balcony/patio areas. All apartments have a dining/living room with sofa bed and kitchen area, and a bathroom with shower. Doors and window frames are made of solid oak, and the furniture is country style, also in solid oak.

Two apartments ( Cotoneaster and Osmantus) have one bedroom, while the other two ( Abelia and Gelsomino” have two bedrooms. All the beds are king size and can be made up as doubles or singles. The wardrobe areas are spacious and have sliding doors. Altogether, the apartments would normally sleep 18, but they can accommodate up to 8 additional guests using the sofa beds.

Each apartment has: a 22” plasma television with satellite, internet connection, telephone, intercom. Each kitchen has: a gas hob with 4 rings, a fridge, pans and crockery, a microwave oven. Some kitchens have a dishwasher and/or washing machine. Bed linen and towels are provided. A swimming pool, which complies with the latest Health and Safety legislation, is available for the exclusive use of guests. The pool is 15 m long, 6.5 m wide and 1.5 m deep. Alongside is a wide paved area with deckchairs, and there is also a footbath and shower. The swimming pool is situated in a secluded area a short distance from the accommodation to ensure privacy. It is surrounded by an abundance of shrubs and flower beds, with established oak trees and woodland beyond.
