At Fruske, in Medeazza on the Carso near Trieste, you sleep and eat what the farm produces. Four double rooms with B&B, plus an apartment for those seeking more space. Duino Castle and Sistiana Bay are just a few minutes' drive away.

The osmiza is the heart of the house: cured meats from the farm's own pigs, cheeses, Carso honey, seasonal vegetables, and wines from the cellar, Terrano and Vitovska above all. It opens only on certain dates and for just a few days: it's worth checking the calendar before you leave, because when it's closed, it really stays closed.
