The Agriturismo Poggio Torreano is located in Farnese, in the province of Viterbo, on a hill with a suggestive view of the village and the Maremma. Situated in upper Lazio, on the edge of Tuscany, Poggio Torreano stands in a unique and magical position. Just a few steps and you are immersed in a fairytale location: the narrow streets and small houses where the famous TV film 'The Adventures of Pinocchio' by Luigi Comencini was filmed. With a short trip, you can also reach places of great interest: the Tyrrhenian Sea, the Vulci Park, Lake Bolsena, the Selva del Lamone, the fortresses of Pitigliano, Manciano and Sorano, the Terme di Saturnia, the beautiful Viterbo, Tuscania and Montefiascone. Here in Farnese you can enjoy the tranquillity of country life on a real farm, spend an evening in the piazza or stroll through the alleys of the village discovering its monuments and characteristic views. The agritourism welcomes you in spacious and comfortable rooms, divided into three flats equipped with services and common rooms. SELVA DEL LAMONE (3 KM) Over two thousand hectares of forest in the heart of the Tuscan-Latium Maremma, built on volcanic terrain, the Selva del Lamone is an ecosystem of outstanding environmental value, renowned for its remarkable biodiversity. In the nineteenth century it served as a refuge for brigands, among them the legendary Domenico Tiburzi. The area offers wonderfully evocative trails: the Sentiero dei Briganti and the Romitori del Fiora. TUSCANIA (30 km) A charming town at the heart of a territory exceptionally rich in Etruscan heritage, with an extensive historic centre enclosed by ancient walls. From Torre di Lavello Park you can enjoy remarkable views over the ancient acropolis and two magnificent Romanesque basilicas: San Pietro, perched on its own hilltop, and Santa Maria Maggiore, which stands along the road to Viterbo. VULCI (25 km) Located across the territories of Montalto di Castro and Canino, the Vulci Natural and Archaeological Park invites visitors to explore the remains of the Etruscan-Roman city, including the aristocratic tombs, among them the famous Tomba François.
