Situated near the sea, but safely ensconced in the backcountry of the salento, the masseria palombara is a typical nineteenth-century farm. Only recently has it been transformed into a comfortable inn, but it has kept all its quaint rustic charm. The masseria palombara now welcomes lovers of authentic contact with nature and relaxing times.
After many years of carelessness the Masseria Palombara has recently been restored. The current owners have tried to give the building its old charm back. They have wanted to respect its original architecture as well as possible. All the rooms of the original farmhouse have been saved: the cowshed has been turned into a restaurant-room; the vaulted bas with their old wine-tankers have been transformed into a reception and breakfast-room; although they offer all modecomforts (private bathroom, fridge, air conditioning and TV), the bedrooms are still as they were in the past.

The beaches of Pescoluse with their crystalline waters are only 4 km away and can be easily reached by bike. The Masseria will provide you with everything. From the Masseria Palombara you can easily reach the main places and towns of Salento: Santa Maria di Leuca is only 10 minutes by car, Gallipoli 20 min., Otranto 40 min. and Lecce 50 min. At the sea you can take part in a nice excursion by boat and visit the different coast caves of Salento. You could also visit the small villages in the surroundings with their old alleys and white courthouses.
