The “Masseria Giustiniani” is a typical masseria of Salento and belongs to the typology of watch-tower masseria or fortified masseria. In the sixteenth century fortified towers or watchtowers, both on the coast and inland, were built for the need of protection against the incursions of the pirates. They were built using ancient techniques which were typical of this land and still today we can admire fissures on the entrance and majestic thick walls, which join in star-shaped vault ceilings of rare beauty. Four fully equipped independent rooms and an apartment (with two bedrooms and a living room) are located in the main building. Four fully equipped independent rooms are located in a typical ancient Salento court, a plain building whose function was to defend the garden and the main building. A careful restoration has preserved the original characteristics of the natural tuff stone walls, with numerous intact fossil shells, which create a special and evocative atmosphere of rare beauty. Six rooms have star-shaped vault ceilings, two rooms have barrel vault ceilings. The country-style furnishings are comfortable and all our rooms are air conditioned and equipped with TV and free wi-fi. You can choose both double rooms (with extra bed available)and double rooms for single use, either with breakfast included or half board.

Four rooms and a small apartment (with two rooms, a small living room) with respective bathrooms, are included in the main structure, with independent entrance, the other four, also with independent entrance and respective bathrooms, are detached from the main structure and are part of the courtyard (Salento courtyard), in its simplest and most ancient form, buildings of regular shape with entrance portal, with the function of defending the garden and the main building. A careful restoration has preserved the original characteristics of the tuff walls, exposed face, where you can admire numerous fossil shells embedded in the walls of the oldest buildings that create a particular and evocative environment of rare beauty. Six of these have star vaults and two have the characteristic barrel vaults. The furnishings, in rustic style, are comfortable and each room is equipped with air conditioning, TV, and free wi-fi access.
