The Donati Family offers two beautiful apartments completely renovated on the main street of the old medieval castle (XIII century) belonged to a noble family and Pannocchieschi In which, the lord of gavorrano, was the husband of the famous Pia Tolomei, whose story is narrated by Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy ("Siena mi fe Maremma unmade" Canto V of Purgatory). From both apartments you can master the wonderful scenery below the sea up the Gulf of Follonica where the sun set in a gorgeous sight. The apartments have electrical heating system with heat transmission and both have beamed ceilings and exposed bricks.

The Azienda Agricola San Guglielmo belongs to the Donati family, whose roots in Gavorrano date back to medieval times. Near the old oil mill on the property, now converted, you can still see the old stone millstones. The farm takes its name from the parent of the current owners who, by making some modifications, have developed and specialised the cultivation of olives, obtaining, in full respect of the environment, a high quality product. The agritourism activity is perfectly integrated in the cultivation and offers accommodation in comfortable flats a few kilometres from Follonica and Punta Ala, a true pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea, in the heart of the upper Maremma of Grosseto. In addition to the extra virgin olive oil, the farm supplements other products such as wines, grappa, pâté and others limited to those staying. To eat is not to fill up on food: it is history, culture, conviviality, pleasure, respect for traditions.
The area surrounding the farm, together with the natural beauty, the charm of archeology and art, and delivery to our memory, the secret history of the Etruscan, Roman and Medieval. In and around our beautiful land, the Maremma, offers many routes that immersed in the countryside where you can admire the typical Mediterranean vegetation. Numerous sporting activities ranging from beach tournaments organized by the municipality of Follonica, to the sailing, surfing and diving. Olympic Pool in the town of Gavorrano numerisi and tennis courts (Tennis Club Follonica), two golf courses: the Joint Pelagone in Gavorrano and Golf Club Punta Ala (18 holes). There are several stables in the area. For sport lovers, we report the hippodrome dei Pini Follonica for harness racing and the racecourse Casalone in Grosseto, for gallop races.

Recommends this property My family stayed with the child in this farm-house (apartment Rubino) in August 2011. This is real Tuscan house! Very nice owner! There are comfortable clean rooms, good almost new plumbing in the bathroom, nice quiet bedroom, large sofa-bed for child, convenient kitchenette, a large selection of dishes, small but roomy refrigerator. We had a separate entrance to the part of the house we rented, completely isolated from other residents, with our part of the garden. In the garden stood a table and chairs, we had opportunity to take a meal in an outdoor setting. Around the house - the olive grove and vineyard. The supermarket is located 3 min. from the house, the sea - 11 km by car (approx. 15 minutes). The house is not so far away from the sulfur baths of Saturnia. Excellent combination of price and quality! I recommend this house!
