Agriturismo Il Girasole is located in Barbaruta, on the plain that separates Grosseto from the sea, in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma. Its particularly mild climate and quiet position in open countryside make it ideal for a relaxing holiday with family or as a couple, just a few minutes from the beaches of Marina di Grosseto and Castiglione della Pescaia (about 10 km).
The farmhouse offers ten apartments, sleeping 27 guests in total, furnished with handcrafted furniture in typical Tuscan style and equipped with a full kitchen. Guests can enjoy a large park with swimming pool, a children's playground and a grass five-a-side football pitch; the gardens are equipped with barbecues for outdoor grilling.
Rentals are weekly, from Saturday to Saturday; each apartment has a reserved parking space and pets are welcome. Special rates are available at the thermal pools just 2 km away, and the nearest supermarket is 6 km from the property.
The location is perfect for exploring the Maremma: the Maremma Regional Park, Castiglione della Pescaia, the Argentario promontory and the medieval villages of Massa Marittima, Scansano and Magliano in Toscana are all within easy reach, as are the Etruscan sites of Roselle and Vetulonia. Siena, Florence and the Saturnia hot springs can be visited on a day trip.

All apartments are furnished with handcrafted Tuscan-style furniture and feature a full kitchen with oven and freezer, TV, independent heating and air conditioning, and a garden with barbecue. Bed and bath linen is included, with weekly change.

The farmhouse lies in the countryside between Grosseto and the sea: within a few minutes' drive you reach the beaches of Marina di Grosseto, Castiglione della Pescaia — repeatedly awarded the European Blue Flag — Roccamare, Punta Ala, Marina di Alberese and the famous Cala Violina. Boat trips to the Tuscan Archipelago (Elba, Giglio and Giannutri) depart from Castiglione.
Inland, the medieval villages of Massa Marittima, Scansano — home of Morellino wine — and Magliano in Toscana are well worth a visit, together with the Etruscan sites of Roselle and Vetulonia and the Maremma Regional Park, with trails for hiking, cycling and horse riding. The Orbetello lagoon and Monte Argentario are about half an hour away; Pitigliano, Sorano and the Saturnia hot springs about 40 minutes. Siena and Florence can be reached on a day trip.
