Among the rolling hills of Massa Marittima, in Tuscany’s Upper Maremma, lies the small village of Le Moraiole, nestled among its olive trees and Mediterranean bush in an oasis of peace and silence, where the horizon is lost from the hills to the sea. The complex is made up of a stone farmhouse rebuilt on the ruins of the ancient Podere Il Caglio, around which small stone cottages are gathered together, reinterpreted with ancient and sustainable materials and construction techniques, respecting the territory and the contemporary needs of comfort. Our guests will be welcomed in these authentic and independent cosy spaces, surrounded by gardens and uncontaminated nature. Around a group of centuries-old cork trees, there is a sunny infinity salt water swimming pool facing the olives grove valley, it is the ideal place to regenerate, immersed in the beauty of this ancient landscape and from which you can admire amazing sunsets on the hills sloping down from Val di Cornia to the Gulf of Baratti and the island of Elba, whose memory will remain forever. For those who love walking or hiking, the entire estate can be explored on natural trails from which you enter the paths of the surrounding countryside, discovering a lush nature to nourish oneself with its sounds, colours, scents, melting into one whole for a real regenerative therapy for body and mind. For adventurous two-wheels lovers, around our small village there are hundreds of kilometers of splendid routes that cross the natural beauties of this area of the Upper Maremma. Between breathtaking climbs and descents, you will have the impression of being part of the surrounding environment, a challenge between you and nature that puts you 'to the test' and, when it is possible to distract yourself from the route, you will be able to admire the spectacular views of the valleys, pedaling through woods of cork oaks and holm oaks.
