In the evocative magic of the Maremma countryside, at the foot of the medieval village of Massa Marittima, jewel of the Colline Metallifere (Metal-bearing Hills), lies the Podere Vecchia Commenda, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Recently and entirely renovated by the young family that lives there, they have decided to leave the city to live and bring up their children in a peaceful dimension in full contact with nature and close to the sea. Although the structure is surrounded by the beautiful nature of the place, the farm is not isolated and is strategically well connected to the main communication routes.
The 3 apartments (2 one-bedroom and one three-bedroom) that the farmhouse has overlook the countryside and in their spacious verandas you can eat, relax, or simply admire the sunset and the beautiful view, for example after a nice day at the sea, or after a visit to the charming towns in the area. The apartments are spacious, comfortable, equipped with everything necessary and furnished with great care, they have well-equipped kitchens, bright living areas, elegant bedrooms, charming bathrooms. All the rooms are cool without needing air conditioning and have among other things bed and bath linens, satellite TV, microwave and kettle, vacuum cleaner and small courtesy amenities. The structure is brand new and cared for with love and dedication by its owners who work tirelessly to make it more beautiful and comfortable every day.

Our farmhouse is just a few minutes' drive from Massa Marittima, and if you fancy it, you can easily reach the town on foot with a lovely walk—though there are some hills to tackle! The surrounding area offers numerous outdoor trails waiting to be explored, particularly for cycling and hiking. This region is especially popular with cyclists from around the world, who will definitely find the kind of challenge and enjoyment they're looking for. For those who love the seaside, within a short drive from Podere Vecchia Commenda you'll find some of the most beautiful beaches on the coast: Follonica (20 km), Torre Mozza (24 km), Punta Ala (40 km), and Castiglione della Pescaia (42 km). If you prefer exploring the countryside, charming villages are nearby, such as Rocca Tederighi (25 km), Montemassi (27 km), Suvereto (30 km), Campiglia Marittima (40 km), Bolgheri (60 km), and the Abbey of San Galgano (31 km). The thermal springs at Venturina (37 km) and Sassetta (40 km) are both within 30-40 minutes' drive.
