Description Podere Pietreta

All stays will be managed in compliance with the current legal and sanitary provisions on Covid-19. Podere Pietreta is a large, old house from the eighteenth-century, entirely in stone, that was recently the subject of a careful and passionate restoration, maintaining the particular architectural qualities of the structure and using only original materials. The estate is positioned on a hill, in a position of exceptional beauty within the natural and artistic park of Val d'Orcia, declared a world heritage site by UNESCO. The farmhouse, 500m above sea level, dominates the hills that slope towards the plane: from here you can admire a vast natural setting, from Monte Cetona to the cliffs of San Casciano, from the rock of Celle sul Rigo to the slopes of Monte Amiata. A park of three hectares surrounds Podere Pietreta. Under the shade of large oaks, there is a panoramic swimming pool with a Roman staircase (6x12m). There are 3 inviting apartments and two double bedrooms that are available for guests - of varying sizes - and a beautiful independent house - also in stone - newly restored; there is a warm and refined atmosphere, the residences are elegantly furnished with furniture from the era. All the apartments are on the ground level and have a private entrance; for each of them, there is a private space with a large umbrella, table, chairs and barbecue. Each apartment is located on one of the three sides of the farmhouse, ensuring that guests have complete privacy.

A laundry complete with all necessary equipment (washing and drying areas, steam irons, etc) is available for use by all guests. You can also request to have breakfast (with home-made jams and products) in the farmhouse (6 euro per person) Thanks to a special arrangement, guests at Podere Pietreta can eat at discounted prices at a nearby first class typical restaurant (2kms from the farmhouse). Upon request, it is possible to have in your apartment - at a time of your choosing - breakfast, including sweets, honey and marmalade, all made in the house by Mrs Sara. Not to be missed, amongst other things, is the grandmother's cake, the yoghurt and berry marmalade cake, prepared with berries that grow abundantly in the Pietreta park. (6 euro per person)

Surroundings (Radicofani)

Podere Pietreta is the ideal point of departure for short excursions (30/60 minutes) to some of the most appealing places in Tuscany: Bagno Vignoni, Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Radicofani, San Quirico d'Oricia, Chiusi, Cetona, Cortona, Arezzo, Siena... . In 20 minutes you are among the forests of Monte Amiata, Umbria is half an hour by car. Another exceptional characteristic is the presence, less than 30 minutes away, of numerous thermal baths, many of them among the best known: Terme di San Casciano, the pools of Sarteano, San Filippo, the hydrothermal complexes of Chianciano, etc. In 2005, Val d'Orcia was listed by UNESCO as a world heritage site

	La val d’Orcia è stata una fantastica scoperta...Podere Pietreta, posto meraviglioso, da favola, ideale per staccare dallo stress quotidiano.... appartamento pulito e accogliente...super fornito... La piscina è circondata da querce. Gli spazi sono molto ampi. Dall’alba al tramonto, ci si incanta a guardare il paesaggio che appare sempre diverso... (Excellent)

	Una bella struttura immersa nel verde, ideale per chi cerca pace e relax. L’appartamento per due persone che ci è stato assegnato è molto spazioso e dotato di ogni comfort. Avevamo uno spazio esterno con tavolino e sedie molto carino. La strada per arrivare al podere è sterrata e lunga circa 1 km, è da percorrere a bassa velocità... vicino a borghi da visitare.... 	Podere Pietreta è un luogo magico dove riappacificarsi con la natura. Ho passato qualche giorno in questo agriturismo scelto per la sua posizione strategica, vicino a posti incantevoli della bassa Senese. Gli appartamenti sono spaziosi e dotati di ogni comfort, con attenzione ai più piccoli dettagli. Apprezzata dai i bimbi l'ampia piscina, dopo delle belle passeggiate è indispensabile. La sera si può godere in relax di tramonti mozzafiato coccolati dal venticello e ci si addormenta col le cicale (Excellent)

	Siamo stati a Pietreta nel mese di ottobre. Immersi nella campagna toscana con i colori dell’autunno. Un autentico spettacolo. Il casale è ben tenuto. L’appartamento davvero pulito. Abbiamo visitato i dintorni, Bagno Vignoni, Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano e siamo stati anche alle terme. I proprietari sono cordiali e disponibili. Torneremo presto sicuramente. (Excellent)
