Podere Casenove Agricultural Estate has been owned by the Family for hundreds of years; until 1984 it was managed under a 'Sharecropping Contract', with the land cultivated by the family of the so-called 'Sharecropper' who lived in the farmhouse. Following the termination of the sharecropping contract after 1984, with direct cultivation by the owners and following extensive restoration work, the farmhouse became the summer vacation home of the owner's family. From 2000 onwards, further restoration work began in respect of local residential styles such as wooden beams, terracotta, exposed stone walls and similar features, aimed at gradually establishing a new agritourism activity. The hospitality business effectively began in 2002 and has been followed with loving care directly by Mrs. Luigina, the owner's wife.
