At Vernazzano, a hamlet of Tuoro sul Trasimeno, the Baldeschi estate stretches across olive groves, cultivated fields and woodlands. Twelve apartments divided between two farmhouses: Il Piratello, with rustic furnishings, and la Fattoria del Rio di Sopra, featuring more refined finishes. In the latter, works by Maria Luisa De Romans, grandmother of owner Matteo, are displayed.
Oil is produced on the estate: each autumn olives are harvested and the new extra virgin oil is tasted. There are also tastings of local products and walks for gathering wild herbs in the fields of the estate.
On the top floor of la Fattoria del Rio di Sopra you'll find "Le Sale di Sopra": a 50-square-meter yoga shala, a sauna and a small library. The space hosts retreats and workshops, including multi-day programs, as well as yoga classes open to guests.
The estate also features swimming pools for use during the warm months.
