It is the ideal place for a relaxing stay in the midst of nature, far from the hectic pace of the city, in a unique setting. The Agritourism is at the centre of the old family farm, which is entirely dedicated to olive growing; in fact, a 'very high quality' extra virgin olive oil is produced here. The farm integrates agricultural activities with those of reception and hospitality. For guests wishing to spend pleasant moments of relaxation, it is possible to taste local food and wine products in the farmhouse parlour. Those who love reading can choose a good book from the library and leaf through it in front of the ancient fireplace. The Azienda Agraria Il Torrino dei Gelsi has a flat area of about 10 hectares cultivated with olive trees and located in the area of the future PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) of the Terre Tiburtine. Torrino dei Gelsi consists of a single farmhouse with an adjoining small tower dating back to the early 1100s. The architecture of the farmhouse seems to take us back in time, to a rural past now forgotten. Hospitality is provided in 3 lovely flats, 2 with mini-kitchen, and a delightful double room, all equipped with the best comforts. The old farmhouse has recently undergone a careful conservative restoration that has preserved its original appearance, from the tufa, stone and brick walls, to the roofs with the original handmade tiles and roofing tiles, to the ceilings with chestnut wood beams, to the handmade terracotta brick floors. The furnishings have been made in keeping with rural traditions precisely to take you back to a dreamlike atmosphere, when man lived according to the rhythms of nature.
