The agritourism Il Castagneto is located in the heart of Ciociaria, on the slopes of the Lepini mountains, surrounded by a grove of chestnut trees. The agritourism consists of a stone farmhouse on three levels. The dining room, on the ground floor, is very cosy and homely, divided into several intimate rooms, where it is possible to savour the aromas of mountain produce. On the upper level, in the attic, are 6 rooms with bathrooms from where you can admire the Ciociaro landscape, accompanied by the buzz of the animals that live on the farm. The agritourism Il Castagneto is located in the heart of Ciociaria, a land populated by hospitable and friendly people. It is possible, in fact, to spend hours of relaxation and tranquillity in the company of the owners, simple people of great hospitality. In this atmosphere of tranquillity, it is possible to taste the farm's typical products such as salcicce, guanciali, pancette arrotolate, lonze and prosciutti, strictly from the black pigs of the Lepini mountains, born and bred on the farm. A playground is being set up to delight the children. It is also possible to savour the tranquillity of the Lepini mountains and the coolness of the chestnut woods, where in autumn the scent of porcini mushrooms is intoxicating. The rooms are clean, comfortable, warm in winter, furnished with simplicity and at the same time with country taste. The languages spoken are English and French. The farm produces oil from olive trees rooted in the mountains, white wine from Malvasia and Trebbiano grapes in the hills, soft wheat in the countryside, fruit and chestnuts from the hills with which Signora Lucia prepares jams baked in a wood-burning oven. They also breed calves, pigs, poultry, donkeys and horses from which they produce, among other things, excellent cured meats such as rolled bacon, sausages, hams and loins dried using traditional methods.
