Il Castagno is located within the Pineta di Tradate Park, nestled among the woods, just a ten-minute walk from the town center. It is run by Daniela and her husband as a family business. The kitchen specializes in Lombard cuisine: homemade bread and fresh pasta, meat, seasonal vegetables, and desserts prepared on-site. Cold cuts come from the Martinelli Gloria company in Arcisate, vegetables from Il Pascolo in Cairate, and fruit from Frutta e Sapori in Bizzarone. You can also purchase honey, jams, and fresh fruit and vegetables produced here. The venue hosts lunches, dinners, baptisms, communions, graduations, and weddings; for baptisms they also offer an aperitivo dinner formula with grilled specialties. There are covered dining rooms and an outdoor meadow with games for children. For those with lactose intolerance, there are always alternative options available.
