Five kilometres from the sea and thirty from the Monti Sibillini National Park, Casa Vecchia is in the heart of the sharecropping landscape of the Marches. The Aso valley, thanks to its position, abundance of water and climatic characteristics, has been an ideal place for agricultural settlements since ancient times. Thousands of farms with farmhouses stand on the ruins of as many Roman rustic villas. The fruit, vegetables, wine and oil produced here are no less sought after today than they were in ancient times and the Middle Ages. All around, on the green hills overlooking the sea between Fermo and Ascoli Piceno, dozens of towns and ancient urban centres conceal a rich heritage of history, art and traditions waiting to be discovered. Casa Vecchia is on a hillock, in the midst of the green futteti and overlooking the sea and mountains. It is a sharecropping dwelling that once housed a large farming family and a rural school. A number of comfortable flats have been created in the outbuildings (stable, hut, barn).
