Among the holm oak woods of Martina Franca, Piero cultivates organically while Marilù tends to guests and tables: him in the fields, her in the kitchen and managing events. Three rooms, all with private bathrooms: Civetta and Calandrella for two people, twenty square meters; the Pagliaio, with a double bed and two singles, reaches twenty-five square meters and accommodates up to four. The crops are CSQA certified. Since January 2021, the estate has been monitoring nesting birds among the trees, and so far 137 insect species have been catalogued: an ongoing census, not just a figure thrown in for effect. The calendar follows the agricultural seasons: the San Martino threshing festival, musical evenings, the summer solstice night of San Giovanni. Those who wish to explore have Matera, the trulli and masserie of Valle d'Itria nearby; many, however, prefer to stay among the trees, and that's enough.
