The Azienda Agricola Lago Milecchia, immersed in the green and silence of the oak woods of the Nocesi countryside, takes its name from the ancient hillside lake 'Miles' (Lake of the Soldiers) that can be admired from the farm, a few steps from the ancient Benedictine monastery Madonna della Scala. The farm, open all year round, welcomes its guests in restored trulli, furnished with rustic furniture and equipped with electricity, water and heating. The farm, which extends over many hectares, produces fodder and cereals using organic methods to healthily feed the livestock from whose milk the genuine products you can enjoy are made. Typical places to visit within a short distance include: the Barsento Romanesque church, the fortified masserias in the surrounding area, the trulli of Alberobello, the Castellana caves, the Benedictine monastery, etc. The farm is equidistant about 30 km from the sea and is located 480 metres above sea level. Hospitality in restored turn-of-the-century trulli. The farm covers many hectares and produces fodder and cereals. The breeding of selected livestock guarantees products of sure genuineness. Lago Milecchia offers relaxation on the Murgi Barese, and finely furnished flats have been created inside its splendid trulli. There is a breeding farm in the farm centre. Guests are offered typical local cuisine.
