At Sa Serra, in the municipality of Assemini, the Is Scalas farm extends across 40 hectares and features twelve rooms, one accessible for guests with disabilities. Each room has a private bathroom, air conditioning, TV and refrigerator. Outside, a swimming pool opens during the warm months and the halls host receptions, business dinners, outdoor or indoor weddings, and bachelor and bachelorette parties. The kitchen uses the farm's own produce: among the dishes is panada. On Sundays the menu is fixed, based on meat: six appetizers, two first courses, two main courses, vegetables, Sardinian desserts, coffee and digestif, with water and wine included in the price; bottled drinks are charged separately. The restaurant closes on Mondays; from Tuesday to Saturday it opens in the evening, also for non-residents, by reservation. The educational farm organizes year-round workshops on homemade pasta, cheeses, oil, herbs and liqueurs, ceramics, music and traditional dances, as well as visits to the stables and seasonal activities for schools and groups. You can also visit the mask museum. Cagliari-Elmas airport is 9 km away, the port is 14 km: from here you can reach the beaches, wetlands and charming towns of southern Sardinia in no time.
