In Santa Caterina di Pittinuri, a five-minute walk from the beach, the Casule family runs an agritourism property named after the Aragonese tower visible from the nearby limestone cliffs. The farm cultivates vegetables, cereals and forage crops; olive groves, orchards and vineyards produce oil, fruit and wine for the table. They raise sheep, cattle, pigs, wild boar, poultry and rabbits: meat and cheeses, including pecorino, go straight to the kitchen. There are two double bedrooms with bathrooms; eight bungalows sleep four each, featuring convertible living areas with bedroom space, furnished outdoor areas and refrigerators, shaded by lentisk and wild olive trees. Agrichef Salvatore works in the kitchen: cured meats and vegetables from the garden, casizolu, pecorini, ricotta ravioli, malloreddus, roast pork, lamb, wild boar. Seadas and formagelle to finish. One evening a week the menu changes to feature fresh local fish. From here you can reach S'Archittu, Torre del Pozzo, the quartz beaches of Sinis - Is Arutas, Mari Ermi, Maimoni - and the excavations of Cornus and Tharros. Address: via del Falco, 09073 Santa Caterina di Pittinuri (OR).
