Poggio Gabbiano Is an agricultural estate owned and run by the Mencacci family for generations, the vineyards and olive groves surrounding the residence have changed little through the centuries. The dominant location takes advantage of views over the Valdichiana to Montepulciano and towards the preappenine hills and Cortona, along with the cooling breeze in summer. The latest generation to manage the estate is compsed of entirley of women, bringing a freshnes of view and a different feel the the historically patriarchal countryside, without loosing sight of the traditional hospitality represented by the warmth of open fires and the smell of just cooked pasteries.
