In the evocative natural beauty of the hills of the Tuscan Maremma, the STERRATI farmhouse operates, a paradise for nature lovers and a convenient strategic point from which to start excursions to cities of art such as Pisa, Siena, Volterra and Florence. The farm is located just 8 km from the medieval town of Massa Marittima and 13 km from the sea, one of the most beautiful stretches of Tyrrhenian coastline in Italy. Four comfortable flats have been obtained from typical country houses, renovated with taste and a particular attention to the recovery of the traditional buildings of the area, three of which are at the guests' disposal and one inhabited by the family of the employees to whom the care of the Sterrati Farmhouse is entrusted and who are at the guests' service. All the apartments have a living room with kitchenette and fireplace, one or two bedrooms, bathroom with shower and a large garden with private barbecue area. Relaxation area equipped with hammocks, table for up to 15 people, outdoor rugs and cushions, and barbecue for shared use.

The property is situated near the renowned Lake Accesa, a enchanting spot where you can cool off and soak up the sun whilst taking in the stunning views of the Tuscan countryside. The farm is approximately 20 km from Cala Violina, the famous beach accessible via a tree-lined path, which I absolutely recommend you visit – do bear in mind, however, that beach access requires advance booking through their website. Some 20 km away in the direction of Piombino, you'll find another splendid beach well worth a visit: Torre Mozza, renowned for its crystal-clear waters. I'd also suggest exploring Puntala, Castiglione della Pescaia, Porto Santo Stefano, Baratti and Livorno – charming and characterful villages where you can enjoy a fine lunch or dinner at one of the local trattorias or typical eateries.
