Surrounded by centuries-old olive trees, cultivated fields and rural villages in the hills that stretch from Lake Trasimeno to Lake Chiusi, on the borders of Umbria and Tuscany, the Agriturismo of Poggio del Sole is a haven of tranquillity and relaxation, as well as an ideal starting point for getting to know Umbria and Tuscany, l 'Agriturismo Poggio del Sole. The spacious grounds afford many amenities including a large swimming pool, solarium, bicycles, jeu de boules, a children 's play area and barbecue facilities. Take a leisurely stroll among the olive and oak groves. Poggio del Sole was originally an old farmhouse built of stone and bricks, Together with the adjacent barn, it has recently been rebuilt and made into seven apartments with all the comforts of home. Apartments vary in accommodation capacity from two beds to nine. With its own entrance and private lawn area, each apartment was rebuilt maintaining the original architectural style as much as possible, and in the rustic style of the region: simple and welcoming. Set amongs the mountains and hills which surround Lake Trasimeno, and close to the border between Umbria and Tuscany, Poggio Verde is the newest Agriturismo complex of the Dionisi family. It is a short distance from "Poggio del Sole " and close to the agricultural hamlet of Ceraso, at an altitude of 290 metres. The new swimming pool enjoys beautiful panoramic views across the surrounding countryside to distant Umbrian mountains. A children 's paddling area and ample sunbathing space with umbrellas, loungers and deck-chairs, make for a relaxing stay. The dappled sunlight is particularly pleasant during the hottest days of the year.
In our two farmhouses called "Poggio del Sole" and "Poggio Verde" we have apartments of various types, from two to nine beds. Each apartment is independent, with independent entrance and kitchen area. During the winter period the heating is independent and regulated by our Guests.

We're nestled in the rolling hills surrounding Lake Trasimeno, right where Umbria meets Tuscany. There's no shortage of wonderful walking routes heading out in both directions. You can easily explore the entire stretch between Florence and Rome in a single day.
