I worked at this structure since I was little helping my mother, who was the owner, trying to make our guests' stay pleasant, relaxing and fun. Since my mother's death I had some initial difficulties but after a long time I found that feeling I had when my mother was still alive. Like every woman in my family who preceded me, I try to bring something new to this structure: my great-grandmother transformed this structure into a farmhouse, my grandmother brought Buddhism and the culture of India, my mother the ecological and organic, I am instead trying to give my touch and at the same time to preserve the history of these walls.

Description Il Querceto
Il Querceto, in the heart of Appenninico Lucano Val d’Agri Lagonegrese National Park, is the first step to a trip to nearby natural sanctuaries such as Mount Viggiano, Mount Vulturino, Serra Calvello and the Pietra Pertusillo lake.
At the edge of an oak wood, the large farm houses once used for farming purposes have been converted to luxury holiday resorts, following the principles of bioarchitecture. Il Querceto is the ideal place for a true ecological holiday experience, immersed in a new life style.
Il Querceto has Double and Family rooms, with 2 suites located in a separated building.
All materials and furniture used in the are eco sustainable. Periodical maintanance works (painting, refurbishing etc.) are carried out respecting the environment.
Il Querceto has a library with books in the realm of the humanities and the natural world. It offers a gym and a conference room.
The 20 hectars wood is ideal for natural trails, hicking and orienteering. It can also be used for school trips and camps.
Il Querceto is open throughout the year.

Breakfast includes: various yoghurts, cold cuts and cheeses, sweet and savory crêpes, sweet and savory toast, coffee, tea, freshly squeezed juices, salmon, butter and jams, centrifuges on request, cold or ambient spring water.
