Description Casano

Podere Casano is a stone farmhouse in Radicofani, featuring exposed wooden beams and wrought iron beds in beautifully restored apartments. The final 1.5 km of the approach winds along an unpaved road: the property sits in splendid isolation, surrounded by the peaceful silence of Val d'Orcia. The apartments are independent and equipped with fireplaces. Outside, a swimming pool with Roman steps, sun loungers and umbrellas, plus a barbecue area in the garden. Breakfast features local products. In the surrounding area: the thermal springs of Bagni San Filippo, trekking and horseback riding trails, and charming towns where wine tastings are organized.

Dinner must be reserved in advance: a fixed menu that follows the garden and the market, with no alternatives to choose from at the table. Soups and ribollite, hand-made pasta, local meats and cheeses, roasted vegetables, homemade desserts. The oil is Tuscan, the bread comes from the valley's ovens, the wines are from Val d'Orcia and nearby Montalcino. In summer you eat outside, with the hills before you.
