How we rank properties

Agriturismo in Veneto with Restaurant, Families With Children

Farm stays in Veneto cover an unusually wide range, from the Prosecco hills behind Treviso to the Dolomite valleys of Belluno, the lagoon farmland near Venice and the shores of Lake Garda. Few Italian regions let you combine a working farm with a major art city as easily.

The main areas

The Conegliano-Valdobbiadene hills, a UNESCO site, are steep, green and entirely given to Prosecco; Venice is an hour away by train from Treviso. The Euganean Hills south of Padua are volcanic, thermal and dotted with vineyards and Palladian villas. Along Lake Garda's eastern shore, farms grow olives and Bardolino grapes with the water in sight. Inland from Verona, the Valpolicella produces Amarone. North, the Belluno Dolomites give mountain farms, hay meadows and ski access.

What to expect

  • Prosecco and Amarone tasted at the estate that produces them
  • Radicchio from Treviso and Castelfranco, asparagus from Bassano, in season
  • Garda olive oil, among the northernmost produced anywhere
  • Farms within commuting distance of Venice, Verona and Padua by train
  • Cycling routes along the Sile, the Brenta and the Adige valleys

Timing and access

April to June and September to October are the best months, with the vine harvest in September and radicchio arriving with the first frosts. Summer is humid on the plain but pleasant on the hills and the lake. Winter suits the Dolomites and the thermal spas, less so the flatlands.

Venice, Verona and Treviso all have airports, and the region has the densest rail network in northern Italy — useful, because a farm near a station lets you visit Venice without driving. In the hills and mountains a car remains necessary.

In Veneto we have 306 farmhouses, including 99 with swimming pool, 131 with restaurant and 111 pet friendly.

Here is the list of our farms with the restaurant. Eating in a farmhouse means finding the regional cuisine cooked with high quality ingredients at the right price. Enjoy your meal! in Veneto.

Frequently asked questions about Veneto

How many agriturismi are there in Veneto, and how are they distributed?
Veneto has 306 active agriturismo properties. The province with the highest concentration is Verona (107 properties), followed by Treviso (56), Venice (35), Padova (34), and Vicenza (30). The offer spans very different landscapes: from the Veneto plain to the Dolomiti Bellunesi, through the vine-covered hills of the Trevigiano.
Which areas of Veneto have the best agriturismi?
The areas with the highest concentration of properties are Lago di Garda, Valpolicella, and Monti Berici in the Veronese and Vicentino, the Colline del prosecco and Valdobbiadene in the Trevigiano, and the Colli Euganei and Terme Euganee in the Padovano. For lake and lagoon scenery, the Riviera del Brenta and the Laguna di Venezia remain solid options. At higher elevations, properties can be found on the Altopiano di Asiago and in Ampezzo and Cadore.
What local products are served at agriturismi in Veneto?
Agriturismo cuisine in Veneto centers on risi e bisi, bigoli in salsa, polenta with alpine cheeses, and cured meats such as Sopressa Vicentina DOP. Wine plays a central role: Amarone, Valpolicella, Soave, Bardolino, and Prosecco di Valdobbiadene DOCG. Among cheeses, Asiago DOP stands out. Radicchio di Treviso IGP and fagioli di Lamon round out an offer that varies considerably by area.
When is the best time to visit an agriturismo in Veneto?
Spring (April–May) and autumn (September–October) offer the most balanced conditions: mild temperatures, active harvest season in Valpolicella, Valdobbiadene, and Colli Euganei, and fewer visitors than in summer. Summer is best suited for Lago di Garda and the Dolomiti Bellunesi. Winter works well in Lessinia and on the Altopiano di Asiago for those seeking snow and quiet.
What services do agriturismi in Veneto offer?
The most common services include an on-site restaurant, swimming pool, wine tasting on the estate, and pet-friendly accommodations. Many properties offer fattorie didattiche, particularly popular in the Polesine and Colli Euganei. Some have a wellness area or spa, especially in zones close to the Terme Euganee. On Agriturismi.it you can filter properties by individual service without scrolling through the entire list.
What activities are available during an agriturismo stay in Veneto?
Activities vary considerably by area. In Valpolicella and Valdobbiadene, winery visits and guided tastings are regularly organized. On the Altopiano di Asiago and in the Dolomiti Bellunesi there are hiking trails and mountain bike routes. The Terme Euganee allow thermal stays combined with rural relaxation. Along the Riviera del Brenta, Palladian villas and cycle tourism go hand in hand. In the Polesine, river navigation is the most characteristic activity.
