In winter, the Dolomite ski areas offer slopes for skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing, as well as trails for snowshoeing, sledging and snowy panoramas, before returning in the evening to the warmth of your farmhouse. Towns like Cortina d’Ampezzo, Ortisei, Canazei or San Candido combine strolls among shops, churches and old farms with markets, village festivals and museums dedicated to alpine culture.
