Lo Dzerby is located in Machaby di Arnad, and to reach it you walk 900 meters along a mule track between chestnut and birch trees. It opened in 1978 by Cesarino and Lina. Today their daughter Sylvie and her husband Fabrizio run it.
At the farmhouse they cultivate vines, chestnuts and vegetables, raise pigs and rabbits, and keep bees. Everything they produce arrives at your table. The menu is short: Aosta Valley dishes with cured meats made by them, potatoes from their garden, warm bread. Prices remain low, by choice.
It opens from May to October on weekends and public holidays. In August open every day except Monday. Cash only. There is no internet connection: just food and the mountains surrounding you.
