At Machaby, nine hundred meters on foot among chestnut and birch trees, Sylvie and Fabrizio continue the work begun by their parents in 1978. The menu is fixed and the prices are honest. It begins with warm bread and house-made cured meats - salame, salame di lardo and potatoes, lardo - then boiled chestnuts with butter and traditional Aosta Valley dishes. The potatoes, chestnuts, rye, and corn come from the farm's fields. Rabbits and pigs are raised on the property. The wine, too, is their own production. Open from May to October.
