We live in a stone house built in the 1850s, in Micciano near Volterra (Pisa). The property is sitting on a top of the hill overlooking a dramatic panorama of the county side of Tuscany. On the property you can find your favorite spot, overlooking the Tuscan hills sitting under a large holm oak or a juniper tree just gazing at the olive grove. You can walk along the trail to the spring of sulphurous water, passing by the pond where the small wild animals come to drink. If you are lucky you may see a turtle along the way. The area is appreciated by mountain bike lovers. It’s also pleasant to explore nearby small little-known historical villages and towns along the country roads among the hills. Some of them are Micciano, Querceto, Libbiano, and Pomarance.
