At Zobec, on the outskirts of Trieste, they raise salmon of their own and cultivate a vegetable garden that makes its way to the table. They also produce craft beer and wine. The restaurant cooks what the farm produces: salmon arrives in many different preparations, appetizers come from the garden and the cellar, the beer is from their own brewery. You dine in the garden, among the trees, in the heart of the countryside.
Open from late spring through autumn, weekends only. Upon request, they prepare a six-course tasting menu with seasonal products. Prices are higher than a neighborhood bar, because the quality isn't that of a neighborhood bar: in return, your bill won't be inflated with unnecessary dishes.
