The agritourism complex is located just 8 km from the Orte exit of the A1 motorway (Rome-Florence) and is only 6 km from the Orte Scalo railway station, from which it is possible to reach Rome in about 30 minutes. It consists of a 25-hectare agricultural estate, within which stands the ancient medieval-style castle enriched by the characteristic turret that dominates the entire valley below and enjoys a 360-degree view. Two vegetable gardens are cultivated on the property, using organic methods, which together with the stable and a large orchard, provide genuine products for sale and for cooking. It is also possible for children to visit the numerous animals that inhabit the farm, to take walks or relaxing breaks in the shade of ancient oaks. The six rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, are located inside the castle. Three on the first floor and three on the second. The latter enjoy special finishes handcrafted directly by the owners, with reclaimed materials and a unique taste in workmanship. The names of well-known mythological couples have been used to identify them: Apollo and Daphne, Adonis and Venus, Cupid and Psyche, Bacchus and Ariadne, Orpheus and Eurydice, Tristan and Isolde. The restaurant is located at the foot of the small castle, finished in local stone and chestnut, has a large wall fireplace, and can seat 48 people. Most of our dishes are prepared with farm produce such as eggs and meat, which come from the farm, and vegetables and fruit grown in our vegetable gardens. Our most popular first courses are strangozzi del borgo (with asparagus and walnuts), maltagliati alla micheletto (with mushrooms and pork mince) and bucatini all'amatriciana, which are a real speciality.
