Costa Rei is in south-east Sardinia and is part of Muravera, about 60 km from Cagliari. The beach is about 8 km long, and the coast continues south to Cala Sinzias. Behind it are the citrus groves of the Flumendosa valley and the Sette Fratelli mountains.
